Joseph Cao Elected to Congress

Anh 'Joseph' Cao, who fled Vietnam as a child after the fall of Saigon, was elected in Louisiana as the first Vietnamese American member of Congress. (Shares Dec 6 with the 1942 Manzanar Uprising.)
