Hmong Veterans' Naturalization Act Signed

On May 26, 2000, President Clinton signed the Hmong Veterans' Naturalization Act, easing citizenship requirements for Hmong who fought alongside U.S. forces in the CIA's 'Secret War' in Laos. It offered long-delayed recognition to veterans whose service had gone officially unacknowledged for decades.
