Cambodia Town Designated in Long Beach
On July 3, 2007, the Long Beach City Council designated a stretch of Anaheim Street as Cambodia Town — the first officially recognized Cambodia Town in the United States. Long Beach is home to the largest Cambodian community outside Cambodia, built by refugees who fled the Khmer Rouge genocide.
